Main Ingredients
- 250 g All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 300 ml Warm milk
- 1 teaspoon Active dry yeast
1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
2. Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, whisk until smooth.
4. Cover the bowl and let the batter rise for 1 hour.
5. Heat a frying pan and grease crumpet rings.
6. Pour batter into rings and cook until bubbles form, then flip.
7. Serve warm with butter and jam.
