Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Warm water
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine masa harina and salt. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for a few minutes until smooth.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten into a disc about ¼ inch thick.
  3. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each gordita for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Slice open and fill with your favorite fillings like beans, cheese, or meat. Serve warm.
