Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole Chicken breast boneless, skinless
  • 6 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 whole Limes juiced
  • 1 whole Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 whole Tomatoes diced
  • 1 whole Green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 whole Jalapeño sliced
  • 1 cup Cilantro chopped
  • 4 whole Corn tortillas cut into strips and fried
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, cook the chicken breast in the chicken broth until fully cooked. Remove the chicken, shred it, and set aside.
  2. 2. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, green bell pepper, and jalapeño. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. 3. Add the shredded chicken back into the pot along with the lime juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Serve the soup hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and crispy tortilla strips.
