Ingredients

Gnocchi Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Russet potatoes peeled and boiled
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour plus extra for dusting
  • 1 large Egg lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Pass the boiled potatoes through a potato ricer into a large bowl.
  2. 2. Add the flour, egg, and salt to the potatoes. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
  4. 4. Divide the dough into 4 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about ½ inch thick.
  5. 5. Cut the ropes into 1-inch pieces. Roll each piece over the tines of a fork to create ridges.
  6. 6. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi in batches until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. 7. Remove the gnocchi with a slotted spoon and serve with your favorite sauce.
